We have two games from the Betfred Cup to take us into the weekend as Dundee united host Cowedenbeath and Motherwell face a stern test against David Hopkins Morton side.
United are two wins from two and should ease to victory here against League 2 Cowedenbeath who went down 2-0 at home to Hearts on Tuesday. The second match at Fir Park should be good match and I’d expect goals – Motherwell are obvious favourites but Morton started their campaign in sensational style, crushing their neighbours from access the Clyde Dumbarton 6-1.
Dundee United vs Cowdenbeath (KO 7.45pm)
They have a title looking side United and with Shankland spearheading their attack, they should create plenty of chances against their part time opponents. They are head and shoulders above the Fifer’s I every department and with plenty of attacking options, the Tannadice faithful will be expecting to see some goals tonight.
Motherwell vs Greenock Morton (KO 7.45pm)
The hosts are certainly weaker than last season so be interesting to see how their new additions fair but they have certainly not had any issue finding the net in pre season.
Morton travel here in buoyant mood after their 6 star showing against Dumbarton. Wouldn’t be surprised to see both sides score.
Nothing flash, looks a strong double for goals
Recommended Bet:
- Over 2.5 goals double
- 7/5 (Bet365) (NAP)
