TIME to get back on track for Bury as the end of season action hots up in English League Two.
BURY VS. SWINDON
Back on the hallowed Gigg Lane turf and although we’d do well to heed Swindon’s desire for a late play-off place charge, I think the 7-day rest will have crystallised our player’s thinking towards getting back on with the programme.
It’s still a great run and we’ve not lost a league game since Boxing Day but, perhaps with that rare added Cup run added in, we haven’t quite been the force we were – now’s the time for Ryan Lowe’s key players to pull it all back together.
Swindon have started to attack more freely but that could well play to our advantage with Mayor, Maynard, Rossiter and O’Shea more than capable of ripping open an extra arsehole for the travelling side.
It’s also well worth noting that we have had the edge over Swindon in 5 of the last 6 H2H’s with 4 Shaker’s wins and a 2-2 draw and that was with fairly bang average sides lacking in the attacking prowess we have now.
We are still prone to a defensive rick – most probably from our inability to defend corners/set pieces – so there’s certainly value in taking The Robins to get on the scoresheet but, for me, Shakers team goals look way too big with my man O’Shea featuring at some point especially if we get a trip in the box from the obligatory mazy Mayor run!
Recommended Bury vs Swindon bets
- Bury over 1.5 team goals (5/6, bet365) 5 Points
- Bury over 2.5 team goals (11/4, bet365) 1 Point
- O’Shea ATGS (13/8, bet365) 13/8
