This should be a tasty match! I might come across as being biased with my bet builder predictions but from a research and basic facts of the past, recent and current form, I can’t see anything other than a convincing home win for Celtic.
Then again form can go out the window with a Glasgow derby match sometimes !!
These games are absolutely perfect for my style of BetBuilders because there are normally goals and cards in abundance.
The hard part of writing an article prior to knowing the line ups for a game this big is that you might not get the right combination of selections because a player might not be playing, or playing in a different position ( McGregor at left back in the last game between the sides !!). Therefore I’ll give you the players I think will score and/or be booked and then make some suggestions as to how I will be combining them, but you may have to mix these once the teams are displayed.
To Score for Rangers the obvious choice is Alfredo Morelos, however his record of scoring against Celtic is woeful as he’s never scored against them. Candeias or Kent would be the next best options in the Rangers team or Jermain Defoe if Morelos doesn’t start or if you do an in-play bet once he is substituted on.
In the Celtic team a lot depends on the starting line up. Neil Lennon has went for Odsonne Edouard up front recently and I think he’ll stick with that player for the starting places and I think he is a strong favourite to score in this game.
In addition to him, the most likely Celtic candidates to score are Forrest, Sinclair, McGregor, Burke, Weah and wildcards for me would be Ajer and Boyata.
In terms of game bookings I think there will be quite a few! In the Rangers team my, and probably every person who likes a bets choice, will be for Morelos to be booked. The other candidates would be Goldson, Tavernier, Arfield, Worrell, Candeias and the wildcard of the goalkeeper Allan McGregor.
In the Celtic team they also have a favourite for a booking in Scott Brown. Also in that team I would be looking at Boyata, McGregor, Ajer, Tierney and a wildcard for a card would be Edouard.
I’m going to attempt three bet builders at good odds below, but remember to mix these if the selections are’t playing.
