MARCH has been a decent month but Sunday was just one of the days.
There’s no sugar-coating as I suffered a full house of losers with the likes of flops by Ajax and Atalanta beating me.
Thank goodness for Greg and HullShaker who steered clear of some of the big Euro favourites and landed a couple of winners. Well done to them and everyone else.
We have a quit Monday as we build to international week with Mansfield v Lincoln in League Two and some lower-league games on the Continent. The Stags need one point to move into the automatic promotion places while Lincoln are trying to increase their five-point lead at the top so should be a decent game.
It’s likely to be a no-bet day but I might risk 1pt if I can put together a double or treble or site bet.
Meanwhile, Man City have been cut to 9-2 by Coral to win the quadruple after being paired with Brighton in the FA Cup semis.
“This is the shortest price any team has ever been to win the quadruple as no one has ever been this close to lifting all four major trophies,” said Coral’s John Hill.
“At the start of the season City were 300-1 and as the season has progressed, many punters have jumped on their backs for the four trophies leaving us desperate for City to slip up in at least one of the competitions.”
Good luck if you have a fancy price but for me it’s still asking a lot and of course the Champions League will be the toughest one to win.
