IT’S the biggest game of the season tonight for Rangers and Aberdeen – and only a brave man would confidently call this one.
Realistically the title’s staying at Celtic Park so the Scottish Cup is the only trophy available to the challengers.
Rangers are massive favourites having earned a 1-1 draw at Pittodrie and the Dons are hampered by the absence of top scorer Sam Cosgrove.
The young striker’s susspension could make the difference and I can see Steven Gerrard’s men battling to a one-goal win at 5-2 with McBookie – and they have the incentive of an Old Firm semi-final.
Gers look short at 2-5 with McBookie who make the draw 15-4 while the Dons are 7-1 at Betfred. Could go all the way of course and you can have either at 16- with Sky Bet to win on penalties.
It could be another war of attrition between fierce rivals and a red card in the match – and there’s been one in all three league meetings – pays 5-2 at Ladbrokes. That’s the same price for a penalty to be awarded.
In the original tie Alfredo Morelos managed to avoid a red against the Dons for the first time this season. He’d rather make the headlines for scoring and is 15-4 with bet365 to net first.
Tonight’s other replay features Hearts v Partick Thistle and I expect the Jambos to get the job done after a second-half flop at Firhill.
Steven Naismith’s out long term which is a huge blow but they won at Dundee on Saturday without him and I expect them to book their semi-final slot in 90 minutes. Hearts are 4-11 at Betfred with the Jags 11-1 at bet365 and a draw 4-1 with sportingbet.
Uche Ikpeazu hasn’t netted since his comeback from injury so again it could down to weekend matchwinner Sean Clare to provide the fireworks.
He is 8-1 at Sky Bet to net first while Christophe Berra, who struck at Firhill, will again be a threat from set-pieces and is 25-1 to strike the opener.
Recommended Bets
- Rangers to win by one
