NOT a card that I’m overly thrilled with so going to stick to what I know best and focus on the Scottish Premiership match at Fir Park between Motherwell and Hearts. The Steelmen have been flying recently and come into this off the back of 5 consecutive wins which has brought them right in contention for the top 6. Hearts are returning to full strength and a win today will almost guarantee their top 6 slot. Should be a cracking game
Motherwell vs Hearts (KO 12.15pm)
A few monsh ago Motherwell were in no mans lad, clear of the relegation trio of Dundee, St Mirren and Hamilton , but well off Livingston, Hibs and St Johnstone.
Fast forward a few months and they have hauled themselves right back in contention for a top 6 place with 5 wins on the spin, whilst the clubs above them have all toiled (Hibs no manager, Livingston’s honeymoon period over and St Johnstone’s tough run of fixtures).
They will be full of confidence coming into this and with Curtis Main spearheading the attack and youngster Jake Hastie with three goals in his last 2 starts they will pose a real challenge to Hearts
The Jambo’s are starting to get all of their Key players back and now have a number of attacking option compared to a few months ago – top scorer Steven Naismith will be there main threat but they have quality right through the side. It’s a tough game to call but I’m taking goals here with both sides more than capable of getting on the score sheet
7 of the last 9 meetings between the sides here have seen over 2.5 goals – taking that to happen again at a big price
Recommended Bet:
- Over 2.5 goals
- 141/100 (Marathonbet) (NAP)
