FRENCH ligue 2 is back to normal with a full card tonight and although it’s been much harder than previous seasons picking winners in this league, there are a few matches I like the look of. Auxerre should take care of bottom side red star whilst Clermont should secure three points away to a Sochaux side who are in free fall. Its the match at Le Havre that takes my fancy as they host fellow promotion hopefuls Brest
Le Havre v Brest (7pm)
7th placed Le Havre host 2nd place Brest and both sides are in need of the points if either has hopes of playing in Ligue 1 next season.
Le Havre are right in the mix for the playoffs and currently sit just one point outside of them, however, they are one of 8 clubs who are separated by just 5 points so any slip up will more than likely see other clubs take advantage
Brest are where we expected they should be after last seasons play off defeat. They are having a terrific season and are just three points off top spot.
Away from home watching Le Havre is like watching Dundee, but at home they are a completely different proposition. There has been more goals in their home games than any other team in the league (34)
10 of their last 12 games have seen both sides score with them scoring at least 2 goals in 9 of those games which is good going. They are on fire at home having won 7 of their last 8 and they’ll be full of confidence coming into this.
Brest have found the net in 8 of their 10 away matches this season and they are tough to beat on the road
Plenty at stake for both sides here and with Le Havre’s dominance at home it should be an open game with goals on the cards from both sides at a big price
Recommended Bet:
- Over 2.5 match goals
- 73/50 (MarathonBet) (NAP)
Will be on the usual goal in the first half and over 1.5 match goals in all 8 Ligue 2 matches 33/1 and 22/1
