I have a busy day at Newmarket on Saturday with five rides. On Sunday, I will be switching disciplines as I am taking part in the Show Jumping competition at The Henry Cecil Open Weekend in Newmarket. It is a fun event that I enjoy and this year I have a good team of Harry Eustace and Sophie Moore (Ryan’s daughter), so I am hopeful we can do well and be competitive!
Saturday at Newmarket
1.00 HOMER’S GIRL
HOMER’S GIRL has had two runs previously and is one to keep an eye on. There are quite a few unexposed types in the field that could be anything, so it is likely to be a competitive race.
2.05 DEPUTY
DEPUTY will appreciate the rain, the more rain the better. He is lightly raced and progressing really nicely. He is stepping up in grade here and he is more than ready to take his chance.
2.40 BEAUTY CHOICE
BEAUTY CHOICE hasn’t had a busy campaign this year. He does needs soft ground and another one that will appreciate the rain. He will be looking forward to having a good busier autumn.
3.15 – INDIGO TIMES
INDIGO TIMES has been a fantastic horse and he is so consistent. My only worry with him would be the rain as he does prefer it on the quicker side. He has been a lot of fun this year and if he gets his ground, he will have a great chance after his big run at Goodwood last time.
3.50 – ATAVIQUE
ATAVIQUE isn’t one I have ridden before. Looking through the form she has been very consistent, and I am looking forward to getting on board.
Stay safe,
Hayley!
