Swansea City v Norwich City betting odds

Two newly promoted clubs go head to head this weekend as Swansea City host Norwich City at the Liberty Stadium.

It should be a cracking match too with both teams performing extremely well so far in the Premier League.

Looking at Swansea to begin with, they have impressed many with their passing style of play and ability to compete with the top teams.

So far this season they have defeated Arsenal and drawn with Chelsea and Tottenham. Even Manchester United only came away from a tight contest with a 1-0 win.

Their success has been largely based on an excellent home record. In front of their home fans this year, they have only lost once – the previously mentioned United game – conceding just seven goals in the process.

This – as well as a couple of away wins in the last month or so – has helped them sit 10th in the table with 14 games remaining until the end of the season.

Norwich City are performing just as well though and in actual fact, sit above Swansea in the table.

The Canaries have enjoyed a fantastic rise over the last two years and having been towards the bottom of League One not long ago, they are now 9th in the top flight.

They have competed throughout the campaign too, with the 3-0 defeat at Sunderland standing alone as the most disappointing match for Paul Lambert’s men.

They responded to this with a valuable three points over Bolton at the weekend though and this has been typical of the spirit they have shown.

Norwich’s away form has been decent too. The Sunderland defeat was their first loss on the road since a 5-1 hammering at Manchester City in early December.

Overall, this should be a fantastic contest between two teams in excellent spirits.

Highly rated duo Brendan Rogers and Paul Lambert will both go for the win too, so it should be easy on the eye.

This one gets underway from 3pm on Saturday afternoon.

Match odds

Because of their excellent home form this season, Swansea are the favourites to emerge victorious. They can be backed at 1.83 (5/6) with BetFred.

For the Canaries to pick up an impressive away win, you can get odds of 4.00 (3/1) with Skybet. Then, the draw is available at 1.08 (5/2) with StanJames.

Overall, people expect this one to be a tight contest, but one which the Swans will just about come out on top.

Correct score

Anything could happen though, so the correct score market is an interesting one.

There is decent value in a 3-1 win for the home side – a reverse of the score at Carrow Road earlier this season – with Bet365 offering 15.00 (14/1) for this scoreline.

The 1 – 1 draw is also worth looking at, available at odds of 7.00 (6/1) with BetVictor.

Finally, why not give Norwich a chance and back them to nick the points. Swansea are due a defeat at home and 3-2 to the away side is decent value at 51.00 (50/1) with SportingBet.

First goalscorer

There are plenty of options for who might score first in this one. There are often goals when these two meet and in a tight game, the first goal could be crucial.

Favourite is Swansea’s leading scorer Danny Graham, available at 6.00 (5/1) with Ladbrokes. Then comes Scott Sinclair at 7.00 (6/1) before Norwich’s captain Grant Holt who can be backed at 9.00 (8/1)

An outside bet is always fun in this market though, with Norwich’s Andrew Surman – who scored during the win over Bolton – available at 26.00 (25/1) with Bet365.

Recommended bets

Swansea and Norwich to draw 1-1 @ 7.00 (6/1) with BetVictor

Andrew Surman to score first @ 26.00 (25/1) with Bet365
