Norwich City v Leicester City FA Cup betting odds

Norwich City and Leicester City go head to head in the FA Cup fifth round this weekend at Carrow Road.

One of five Premier League v Championship fixtures this weekend, both teams will be determined to make it through to the quarter-finals.

Looking at Norwich to begin with, it is fair to say that they are enjoying life in the Premier League at the moment.

After the excellent 3-2 win at Swansea City last weekend, Paul Lambert’s men moved to 8th in the table, a massive 14 points above the relegation zone.

This now means Norwich have only lost one of their last nine games – at in-form Sunderland – and they are certainly performing expectations this season.

The fact that they are so far clear of the bottom three perhaps means they can afford to play a stronger team in the FA Cup this weekend too.

If they were in a relegation dogfight, they would perhaps rest a few players, but with an FA Cup quarter-final place at stake, they can go all out against Leicester.

As for the Foxes, they will hope to use this game as a fixture to re-ignite their promotion push.

At the moment they are nine points adrift of the play-off places, so they need something to give their season a boost.

Perhaps victory at Premier League Norwich is the way to go for Nigel Pearson’s men. They will certainly want a response to the 3-2 defeat at Watford last time out, that’s for sure.

Looking at the team news, Norwich are waiting on the fitness of Adam Drury and Elliot Bennett, although Zak Whitbread is definitely out.

As for Leicester, they could be tempted to make a few changes, although Jermaine Beckford – who has scored five goals in three FA Cup games this year – looks set to lead the line with David Nugent.
