FEB 19: FA CUP BETTING TIPS
LEICESTER provided the one FA Cup shock on Saturday to ensure lower-league presence in the quarter-finals.
There are three more ties on Sunday and I expect the Premier League big guns to come through.
First up it’s Stoke at Crawley and I reckon the three division gap will be too big. Crawley have done well in their first season but Stoke are the type of side who’ll handle this occasion well and I’ll be on Stoke at a very acceptable 11-10 with BetVictor and Betfred.
Crawley are 11-4 with Betfred while the draw pays 5-2 at Coral.
Spurs could get it tougher at Stevenage but Harry Redknapp’s side have the class to win through.
Blue Square make the League One side a massive 10-1 but Spurs are just about hanging on to Man City and Man Utd in the title race so that’s understandable.
Spurs are no bigger than 3-10 with BetVictor and Ladbrokes but should justify their favourites’ tag. The price is poor so look at Manny Adebayor to score first at 4-1 with Coral after an outstanding display against Newcastle last weekend.
The third tie sees Liverpool welcome Brighton and although they’ve drawn too many at home this season I expect the Carling Cup finalists, who beat Brighton 2-1 on the way to Wembley, to make it through to the FA Cup quarters.
Gus Poyet’s Brighton are on a decent run so hopefully they’ll make a game of it but I can see Liverpool, 2-7 at Paddy Power, sneaking through. Brighton are 14-1 at BetVictor with the draw paying 9-2 at William Hill.
Luis Suarez will be keen to get back to playing football after the controversy of last week’s failed handshake with Patrice Evra and is 7-2 at Coral to score first.
Recommendations
Stoke
Suarez to score first
(7-2, Coral)
